Professor Anatoly Vladimirovich Pokrovsky, outstanding surgeon, teacher and person who conducted pioneer research, President of the Russian Association of Angiologists and Vascular Surgeons (RAAVS), Head of the Vascular Surgery Department of the Institute of Surgery named after A.V. Vishnevsky, Chief of the Chair of Clinical Angiology, Vascular and Roentgenovascular Surgery of the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (RMAPE) under the RF Ministry of Public Health, laureate of the USSR State Prize (1975), Prize named after A.N. Bakulev (2001), State Prize of the Russian Federation (2002), Prize of the RF Government (2004), Honorary Member of the American Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), President of the European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS). He is a prominent vascular surgeon, widely recognized as a pioneer of vascular surgery in Russia. His comprehensive text, Clinical Angiology is widely acknowledged as a definitive treatment of the discipline in Russia and CIS. Surgical activity of Academician A.V. Pokrovsky embraces the whole spectrum of interventions in vascular pathology. Specialists under the leadership of A.V. Pokrovsky also elaborated unique operations on arterialization of venous blood flow of the foot in patients with critical limb ischaemia in occlusion of all arteries of the crus, which made it possible to save the limb in hundreds of «inoperable patients». Achievements of Russian surgeons in this direction were also pointed out in the foreign press. A.V. Pokrovsky is an author of 720 scientific works and 16 monographs. An important constituent part of his pedagogical activity are monographs «Clinical Angiology», «Diseases of the Aorta and its Branches» published in 1979, two-volume manual «Clinical Angiology» (2004), the books on which generations of vascular surgeons studied and continue to study. A.V. Pokrovsky is an author of a chapter in the American manual «Vascular Surgery». He was elected Honourable Member of the American Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) and a series of European learned societies. Professional achievements of Anatoly Vladimirovich have been marked by the State Prize of the USSR (1975), Prize named after A.N. Bakulev (2001), RF State Prize (2002), Prize of the RF Government (2004), Orders «For Merits to the Motherland» degree II and IV.

Renato Moreno Gonzales is an anesthetist who works as an attending physician in the Anesthesia Department of the National Maternal and Perinatal Institute of Lima Peru, which is a highly specialized health center which takes care of maternal and neonatal patients. It is a reference hospital of all the country. After spending nearly a decade working in this environment, Renato truly believes that an optimal obstetric anesthesia management can improve both maternal and neonatal outcomes. Renato has worked with the Peruvian anesthesia society, setting up conferences and workshops about obstetric anesthesia all around the country aiming to reduce maternal mortality. Also created a structured program for the obstetric anesthesia rotation for residents and published in both national and international journals. In addition to his experience Renato is a trained instructor of the “SAFE” course in the obstetric anesthesia chapter and did the obstetric anesthesia fellowship in the “Clinica Universitaria Bolivariana” in Colombia.

Dr. Sridhar Kalyanasundaram is an experienced consultant Neonatologist and is the director of Neonatology at American Hospital, Dubai. He completed his basic medical training from India in 1995, following which he qualified in MD Paediatrics (JIPMER, Pondicherry) and DM Neonatology (PGIMER, Chandigarh) in India. He completed the MRCPCH (UK) and obtained entry into the General Medical council Specialist register in UK (CCST) in 2005. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) (UK) in 2006. He worked as a Specialist Registrar in Neonatology at Addenbrookes NHS Trust Hospital, Cambridge, UK from 2004 to 2005. From Mid 2005 till mid 2012, Dr. Sridhar worked as a Consultant Neonatologist in a level 3 Neonatal unit at Wishaw General Hospital near Glasgow, UK. He is an examiner for MRCPCH clinical examination since 2010 and was an Instructor with Scottish Maternity Multiprofessional Development Program (SMMDP) for Neonatal life support and examination of neonates course. He is a certified NRP instructor. He has many peer reviewed publications. His special interest includes neurodevelopment and respiratory support in neonates.

Guy Hugues Fontaine has made 15 original contributions at the inception of cardiac pacemakers in the mid-60s. He has identified ARVD by serendipity in the late 70s, published 900 scientific papers including 201 book chapters. He is in the 3 books: 216 Profiles in Cardiology since the 14th century (Hurst 2003), “500 greatest Geniuses of the 21th century” (ABI) 2005 USA, the “100 Life time of Achievement” (IBC) 2005 Cambridge UK. Reviewer of 17 journals both in clinical and basic science. He has been invited to give 11 master’s lectures of 90 minutes each during three weeks in the top universities of China (2014). He has also served for 5 years as a Member of the Editorial Board of Circulation. He is also working on brain and heart protection in cardiac arrest and stroke by therapeutic hypothermia. He has recently developed new techniques of hypothermia for brain protection in OHCA and Stroke. This technique has been fortuitously used after resuscitation of his wife at home in June 2011 with absolutely no neurologic deficit despite 6 minutes of no flow. He has also invented a high-tech device which can be considered the ultimate in palliative care by preventing unexpectedly awaking after ordinary sleep. This device was mostly designed for major neurologic disorders.

Dr. Minore, President and CEO of Medical Pain Management Services, has specialized in pain management since 1993. He became a Board-certified Anesthesiologist in 1988 and received a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Pain Management in September 1993. He is also President and CEO of Rockford Anesthesiologists Associated, L.L.C., and is President of and also a member of the Credentials Committee at Rockford Ambulatory Surgery Center. Dr. Minore is a member of the Anesthesia, Steering, Trauma QI, and Trauma/Burn Committees, and is currently Chairman of the Operating Room Committee at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. He is a member of the Anesthesia and Perioperative Committees at SwedishAmerican Hospital. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Rockford and serves on the school’s Committee on Student Affairs, Promotions, Awards & Scholarships. He has also been an Assistant Professor and instructor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Minore is very active in the anesthesia and business community, having served in offices and as committee chair, including President of the Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists, and as Delegate and member of the Committee on Legislative Affairs for the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He is CEO of the Illinois Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, Vice President for Financial Affairs, Chair of the Economics & Membership Committee and Director Emeritus of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. Dr. Minore has researched, published, and served as course director and moderator for several professional organizations extensively and presented world-wide on numerous pain management topics. Dr. Minore serves on numerous city, state and federal committees as an advocate for patient rights as well as physician legislative issues.

Dr. Jun Chen now is a professor of Surgery, Director of the Department of Lung Cancer Surgery, Deputy Director of Tianjin Lung Cancer Institute, Member of the AACR and ASCO. He got his medical bachelor degree in Clinical Medicine in 1995 at Southeast University, Medicine Doctor's degree (Ph.D.) in Thoracic Surgery in 2000 at Sichuan University, Postdoctoral Fellowships in Molecular Biology and Oncology at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Van Andel Institute and University of Miami during 2000 to 2007. Dr. Chen got the Ministry of Education for New Century Excellent Talents Award in 2010, and 16 Research Awards from “National Natural Science Foundation of China” and “ Tianjin Natural Science Foundation” during 2006 to 2016. Currently Dr. Chen’ researches focus on the biomarkers for lung cancer prognosis and early diagnosis, and also on mechanisms of the acquired drug resistance in lung cancer target therapy

Professor Nermine Ehsan has completed her PhD at the age of 31 years from McGill University, Canada and postdoctoral studies from Kings’ College Hospital, London. She has been an Honorary Research Fellow at Institute of Hepatology, UCL, UK. Prof. Ehsan is the Chairman of Pathology Department, where a premier Liver-GIT pathology service is provided. She has published more than 35 papers in reputed journals and supervised more than 30 MSc and MD thesis. Prof. Al-Hajjaj graduated from King Saud University Medical College in 1981 and obtained The American board of Internal Medicine in 1986, Certificate of “Fellow of the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada” (FRCP (C) in 1987 and The “American Board of Respiratory Diseases” in 1988. He has been a Professor of Medicine and Pulmonology since 2002. His research interest is in the field of bronchial asthma and COPD. Professor Al-Hajjaj has published more than 65 research papers in the medical literature. Currently he is the Vice-Dean of College of Medicine, University of Sharjah, UAE, and the president of the Saudi Thoracic Society.

Professor Badreldeen is the Director of the Feto-Maternal Medicine Centre in Doha and Professor of Obstetrics at Weill Cornell Medical College – Qatar. He previously held the position of Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Women’s Hospital, part of Hamad Medical Corporation. Professor Badreldeen was also a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist at Dorset County hospital in Dorchester, UK. His main interests are fetal medicine and high risk pregnancy. Professor Badreldeen is the founding member of the international society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG), a board member of the World Association of Prenatal Medicine, founder and president of the African Association of Perinatal Medicine, founder of the fellowship program in advanced training in obstetrics and gynecology, board member of the Fetus as the Patient Society, founding member of the Academy of Medical Educators and the Regional Director of the Ian Donald School of Medical Ultrasound. Professor Badreldeen has also published over 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals and is the Editor of the ‘Basic book of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology’. He has written many chapters in several books, acts as a reviewer for many international journals.

Sergey Suchkov was born in the City of Astrakhan, Russia, in a family of dynasty medical doctors. In 1980, graduated from Astrakhan State Medical University and was awarded with MD. In 1985, Suchkov maintained his PhD as a PhD student of the I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy and Institute of Medical Enzymology. In 2001, Suchkov maintained his Doctor Degree at the National Institute of Immunology, Russia. From 1989 through 1995, Dr Suchkov was being a Head of the Lab of Clinical Immunology, Helmholtz Eye Research Institute in Moscow. From 1995 through 2004 - a Chair of the Dept for Clinical Immunology, Moscow Clinical Research Institute (MONIKI). Dr. Ashraf studied medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and awarded Lyons Memorial Medal & McDonnell’s Prize for surgery. He completed his basic surgical training in Dublin before moving to the UK to join the higher surgical training scheme. He was appointed a minimal access upper GI consultant surgeon to Dorset County Hospital before moving to his current position of a Lead Laparoscopic / Oesophago-Gastric Consultant Surgeon to Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. He holds the fellowships of the Dublin and London Royal Colleges as well as American College of Surgeons. Ashraf is an expert in the field of upper GI surgery and holds a distinguished personal chair of surgery from University of South Wales. He is a member of council of the association of the upper GI surgeons of Great Britain & Ireland (AUGIS) and an executive member of Wales Association of Gastroenterology & Endoscopy (WAGE). Ashraf’s main clinical and academic interests revolve around early detection of oesophageal cancer, improving outcome of minimal access oesophageal procedures, standardization of training in minimal access surgery and human reliability analysis to evaluate the quality of laparoscopic antireflux surgery. He runs over 10 research projects encompassing a wide spectrum of technology & basic science research including Barrett’s oesophagus, severe acute pancreatitis, surgical safety & utilization of augmented reality to improve minimal access surgical outcome. Ashraf was tasked by the royal college to design the dash board for surgical outcome indicators for anti-reflux procedures. He has also delivered many prestigious and named lectures both nationally & internationally on Oesophago-Gastric Diseases. He is a visiting professor at several institutions worldwide.

His research interest include management of Barrett’s esophagus, acute severe pancreatitis, laparoscopic surgery for GIST, prevention of injury and standardization of training in laparoscopic biliary and anti-reflux surgery.
