Track 23: Case Reports on Primary care

Primary care is the care that is provided by specialist, who is trained and skilled in comprehensive first contact and then continue the care for persons with any undiagnosed sign, symptom, or health concern, if present which are not limited by problems origin, organ system, or diagnosis. A primary care practice is mainly concerned with serving as the patient's first point of entry into the health care system and continues on the focal point for all needed health care services. This practice provides patients with ready access to their very own personal physician or to an established back-up physician, if the primary physician is not available. Primary care is basically associated with the healthcare promotion, prevention of the disease, maintenance of health, counselling with doctor, patient education, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in a variety of health care settings. It is mainly performed and managed by a personal physician but sometimes it is also collaborated with other health professional’s expert in this field and also by utilizing consultation.

The French market of clinical and medical devices is the second largest market in Europe and the fifth largest in market the world. In 2014, the French market was valued at US$14.5 billion, and growth is expected to be moderate, reaching US$16.5 billion by 2019.

The manufacturers in France control the majority of the domestic medical device industry, but the currently market is relying on the import from the markets across the world. Medical device imports accounted for about $3.8 billion in 2015, more than 50% of the overall market.

There were approximately 1.8 million physicians working in the Europe. The overall numbers of physicians which are practising in Europe were recorded in the largest Europe Member States were: Germany (333 thousand), followed by Italy (236 thousand), France (206 thousand), the United Kingdom (181 thousand) and Spain (177 thousand). These five States all together accounts’ for about two thirds, which is about 64 % of the total number of the physicians practising in the Europe, above their combined 63 % share of the EU’s population.
